ChildAid, the annual children´s charity concert organised by The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund and The Business Times Budding Artists Fund, has raised a record $450,000 for the two charities, bringing the total amount raised since the inaugural concert in 2005 past the $1 million mark.

Thanks to strong corporate support and healthy public ticket sales, the collection for the two-night concert, has surpassed last year´s $390,000 (The list of sponsors are listed below.). The first ChildAid concert in 2005 raised $330,000.

“This proves that the Singapore public has a big heart and supports young local talent,” said Mr Peter Khoo, Organising Chairman of ChildAid. “We are humbled and grateful to every one for their tremendous support.

ChildAid, the children’s charity concert organised by The Straits Times and The Business Times, has raised a record $390,000 for two beneficiaries, The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund (SPMF) and The Business Times Budding Artists Fund.

Thanks to strong corporate support and brisk public ticket sales, the collection for the two-night concert has surpassed last year’s total of $335,000. (List of sponsors can be found below)

ChildAid, the charity concert organised by The Straits Times and The Business Times, has raised over $300,000 for the two charities, The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund and The Business Times Budding Artists Fund.

Thanks to strong corporate support and brisk public ticket sales, the two-night concert has exceeded the planned target of $300,000. (The full list of key sponsors can be found below.)

“We’re delighted at the response, especially from the corporate world who have rallied behind two worthwhile causes,” said Mr Peter Khoo, Vice President, Editorial Projects and Branding, Singapore Press Holdings. “While we have reached the target for the concert, the two charities still have some way to go before they have enough for their beneficiaries next year. We would like to thank all the supporters of ChildAid. And we promise the shows on Dec 7 and 8 will impress audiences with the range and quality of young talent in Singapore. ”
