ChildAid raises record $450,000 for underprivileged children in Singapore

ChildAid, the annual children´s charity concert organised by The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund and The Business Times Budding Artists Fund, has raised a record $450,000 for the two charities, bringing the total amount raised since the inaugural concert in 2005 past the $1 million mark.

Thanks to strong corporate support and healthy public ticket sales, the collection for the two-night concert, has surpassed last year´s $390,000 (The list of sponsors are listed below.). The first ChildAid concert in 2005 raised $330,000.

“This proves that the Singapore public has a big heart and supports young local talent,” said Mr Peter Khoo, Organising Chairman of ChildAid. “We are humbled and grateful to every one for their tremendous support.

ChildAid raises record $390,000 for underprivileged children in Singapore

ChildAid, the children’s charity concert has raised a record $390,000. Thanks to strong corporate support and brisk public ticket sales, the collection for the two-night concert has surpassed last year’s total of $335,000. Award-winning classical pianist Abigail Sin, 14, and soprano Janani Sridhar, 17, will lead the young talents on show. Other notable performers are jazz singers Nathan Hartono and Ming Bridges, 11-year-old singer Justina Ravi, the Tampines Primary School Children’s Choir and seven-year-old drummer Ethan Ong.

ChildAid raises $300,000 for underprivileged children and teens in Singapore

ChildAid, the charity concert has raised over $300,000. Thanks to strong corporate support and brisk public ticket sales, the two-night concert has exceeded the planned target of $300,000. This inaugural ChildAid featured award-winning talents such as classical pianist Abigail Sin, violinist Loh Jun Hong, jazz singer Nathan Hartono, harpist Lee Yun Chai, soprano Janani Sridhar.

ChildAid, the charity concert organised by The Straits Times and The Business Times, has raised over $300,000 for the two charities, The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund and The Business Times Budding Artists Fund.
