Our Mission & History

Transforming Lives through the Arts

Nurturing young talents to develop their artistic skills, social and emotional competencies.

Our Mission

BT BAF seeks to provide young people, aged six to 19 from financially disadvantaged families, equal opportunities and access to the arts so that they may nurture their talents and to grow in confidence.

• To offer learning opportunities to young people from financially-disadvantaged backgrounds to be enriched by the arts

• To provide platforms for established and professional artists to impart their skills and experience to the next generation of aspiring young talents

• To encourage the community to give back through the arts

Our History

When BT BAF was first established in 2005, beneficiaries did not have a permanent space for their lessons. In 2008, with the strong support of donors and partners, BT BAF set up its first dedicated arts training centre for children at Selegie Road called the Little Arts Academy. In 2015, a youth centre was set up for youths at Orchard Central called 10 Square Youth. Today, BT BAF supports beneficiaries ages 6 to 19 to receive arts training and education at The Little Arts Academy and 10 Square Youth across four campuses in Singapore.
