THE ART OF PLAY (3-4yrs old)
What do you do when Martians go on holiday? How does one fly to the moon to put up stars? Let your child address these questions through The Art of Play Creative play helps children weave together all the elements of life as they experience it. It is an outlet for the fullness of their creativity, and it is an absolutely critical part of their childhood. The language of play unites young children all over the world regardless of differences in culture. Just like the language of art. As Carl Jung (1875 - 1961) says, “The creation of something new is not accomplished by the intellect but by the play instinct acting from inner necessity. The creative mind plays with the objects it loves.” Perhaps it is no coincidence then that a theatrical performance is also called a “play”. Hence we begin our discovery of the arts at The Little Arts Academy with a ballet-based programme. Let the adventure begin…
Ballet Towards Fundamentals Thursdays, 5.00pm - 6.00pm
